Morning Dew

There came a time
when no words would rhyme
animal life ceased
leaving only man, no beast

there came a shout
as they cried out
looking for relief
from their pain and grief

no happiness remained
they feared the worst
like they were going insane
through their veins
anger made its course

but one fine day,
everything changed
a light shown through
like the morning dew

they found love
for one another
bring joy to every friend,
sister, brother.
