My Brother. My Hero.

Thirteen months
have now passed by
as i sit here
i have to sigh

i think of the work
that you have done
some things may seem boring
tedious. no fun.

but with your heart
and with your soul
you can make it exciting
no longer dull

recalling old memories
of me and you
makes me feel happy!
no longer blue

in being a great example,
you've set the bar high.
to come close to your level
i'll really have to try
to do everything possible
righteous and good.
to be just like you,
i wish i could

as i think of this season,
and give thanks for all
i'm grateful for you,
your companions, all y'all

your job is important,
with a significant price,
you teach them the truth,
help them come unto Christ.

another christmas is here,
but have no fear
it's a time to bless
to bring good cheer
to all in the house,
the husband, the spouse.
even the children,
the cat and the mouse.

your message is heard
among the nation
about the Lord
and His divine creation.

to some it is hard
to see the truth.
it might cause them pain
like losing a tooth.

but rest assured
with your faithful word,
they'll come into the church
and join the heard.

all of us out here
following the plan.
we all can be saved
thanks to one perfect man

he was one voice
crying out among the rest.
staying strong through evil
he tried his best.

like the man,
you are a voice,
creating opportunity
to make the right choice

now my dear brother
as i finish this poem
you better stay strong,
GO OUT AND SHOW 'EM!
